About Programme
The Masters of Arts Programme in English is in it nascent stage having commenced only in 2018. The central ideology behind its initiation is to offer a high quality English Literature programme that highly-driven students normally travel out of Goa for. It is driven by its core objective to equip the students with in-depth knowledge. The syllabi has been specially designed to bridge the gap between education and industry. The MA programme emphasizes on literature courses, skill-based courses, and contemporary literary courses.
The 64 credits two-year programme (as of 2021) emphasizes on experiential learning with focus on research, teaching, creative writing and Writing for the media. The two years course is a mix of core and elective papers with a blend of theory and skill based courses. A bridge course has also being designed to integrate new students into our system. The students will also have exposure to experiential learning through internship and dissertation.

Eligibility
Any Student who has graduated with English Literature as a Major, or at least 10 courses at the under-graduate level, with a percentage above 60% overall, and in the discipline of English are eligible to apply.
Students who have not graduated with English as their major, or those from other streams (B.Sc./B.Com.) may apply, but will only be eligible after going through a counseling process, and answering a change of faculty exam. Students will need to pass the exam with at least 60%.
